None of us should feel obligated to pursue any one particular devotion, no matter how fruitful it’s been for someone else. I have found it useful to explore different devotions. If it seems that one will be especially useful in my attempt to grow in personal holiness, I can make it part of my usual prayer routine. If it doesn’t resonate as much, maybe I’ll try again next year, or maybe I’ll just leave it off. That’s okay.
