Wisdom from Dr. Stephen Doran
Temptations can assail individuals and society as a whole. Whether it is the black plague in the Middle Ages or the COVID-19 pandemic, the fear of death can lead to temptations to loss of faith, despair, greed, and pride. But things are not hopeless, and each of these temptations can be overcome by the virtues of faith, hope, charity, and humility. However, these virtues must be cultivated throughout one’s lifetime, for the preparation for death begins at birth.
